I won’t be able to come out on Wednesday’s walk due to another commitment that day so I thought people who were on the walk I led a couple of weeks ago may be pleased to hear about Terry Guy, a guest walker that day, who slipped when we were on our way down Lose Hill. It sounds like he is well on the way to recovery and we may see him again. Cheers. Malcolm Dixon

“Many thanks for your email the incident report is fine. I didn’t for some reason receive Val’s email about the bent pole but if Dave is Ok with it its fine by me….

I’ve looked at your forthcoming programme and it appeals to me, having walked from West of Sheffield some years ago now with a private group. I’ve been looking at nearer caravan sites so that I can join you from the start point sometime but of course most are shut until March or April..if I do make it I’ll buy Dave a drink.

As far as my knee is concerned I went out with Colchester Group on Wednesday but conditions were muddy and slippery and I struggled a bit…now that the bruising and swelling has died down I’m feeling some underlying injury which will obviously take time and rest to heal.

My best mate commented to them that only laryngitis would stop me walking so his card is marked for future retribution!!

Regards, Terry Guy”
