The roughly-equivalent organisation to the Ramblers in the western part of Germany is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2016. (Yes, 125 years!) They are having two days of celebrations in Bochum on the 3rd and 4th June, and have contacted us to ask if any of our members would be interested in taking part.

I am, and I think it would be good if Sheffield walkers could be represented, as Bochum’s twin town. It could be an interesting visit.

We have asked for more details of what would be involved. They have suggested a 3-4 day visit, around the dates above, but at the moment we don’t know more than that.

However, if you might be interested, or know anyone who might, please let me know.
