Tony, when you reply to a post you get this code (squiggely numbers/letters thingy) and as far as I can tell this works without you having to sign in. However, if you want to start a new topic you have to use your password and after that you get a different box with more icons which includes a picture like you get for sending photos with an email. Not sure if I made myself clear, if not better ask Mick
Yes you can do this, but you have in effect to register and give personal data – which Ramblers may or may not wish to do. You have also not explained how photos can be pasted by Ramblers on the Sheffield Ramblers own page.Interestingly my comments have been accepted without me using a security code which I have forgotten in anycase. Possibly any general member of the public can now comment on the BLOG?
Tony, I tried to explain this at the bus station but you seemed to have a sort of allergic reaction to the word Facebook. Just try and look at it. Start by putting “Sheffield Ramblers Facebook” into a search engine and it will find it, then follow the instructions.
If Sheffield Ramblers have an official Facebook page, then members should be informed and told how to access it and use it if they wish to. Further for placing pictures on the Sheffield Ramblers page/blog some clarification as how this is done should be given to all members not just a few who might know. Sorry Margret!
